The Essenchi Aquaderm cream is a non-mineral oil base cream. It is used daily as a moisturiser to help protect the skin’s barrier properties.

It is a unique moisturizer in that it also contains pro-vitamin B5. Pro-vitamin B5 (panthenol) comes from fiber-rich grain species & when it contacts the skin is converted to vitmain B5, which is necessary for the Skin to function optimally.

Vitamin B5 has amazing regenerative, healing, moisturizing & protective effects when used topically on the skin. This makes it ideal for sensitive skin or for those who suffer with eczema, psoriasis or allergic skin conditions.

There are numerous scientific studies outlining the benefits of pro-vitamin B5.

In one study, “Skin moisturizing effects of panthenol-based formulations” J. Cosmet. Sci., 62, 361–369 ( July/August 2011) concluded that pro-vitamin B5 improved SKIN BARRIER function, prevent dry skin & had a moisturizing effect.

The NZ summer sun is harsh on the skin. The Essenchi Aloe Vera Gel can provide a cooling & soothing effect topically. The Essenchi aloe vera is superb in quality with active components present.

In one study, “Aloe vera : A Potential Herb and its Medicinal Importance” J. Chem. Pharm. Res., 2010, 2(1): 21-29. It concluded the many benefits of aloe vera. It outlined some of the benefits to include anti-inflammatory effects & provides a cooling, soothing effect from harmful effects of the sun. It also stated that aloe vera gives the skin a healthy and supple look. (in fact some use it as a simple, pure non fragranced - toner type gel after cleansing the face each day)
