VSL#3™ is the probiotic with the highest available concentration of beneficial live bacteria. Each sachet of VSL#3™ contains 450 billion colony forming units (CFU) of live lactic acid bacteria which can effectively colonize the gastrointestinal tract.[16]

Easy to take

VSL#3™ has been formulated to disperse into any cold non-carbonated liquid, making it easy to consume. It can be added to water, juice, milk or yogurt to meet your own personal preference.

100 trillion micro-organisms of more than 500 bacterial species are thought to be present in the normal intestine (equivalent to one thousand billion bacteria per gram of colon content). Scientific evidence has proven that not all strains of probiotic bacteria are the same. VSL#3™ has eight strains of bacteria in specific concentrations that have been chosen and blended to produce optimal intestinal flora.
Guaranteed Live Bacteria

VSL#3™ is stored and shipped cold to ensure that the beneficial bacteria remain alive and viable. When VSL#3™ is ordered from your local retail pharmacy, it is supplied cold but it is safe to keep at ambient temperature for a short period of time until arriving home where it should be placed in the refrigerator.

VSL#3™ comes as an unflavoured powder that is intended to be mixed with at least half a cup of cold water, juice or milk. It can also be mixed with yogurt, ice cream, apple sauce or any other cold food and consumed. Ingredients – 450 billion colony forming units (CFU) of lactic acid bacteria, maltose and silicon dioxide.

VSL#3™ should not be mixed or taken with hot drinks or foods as the heat can inactivate the lactic acid bacteria. It is also recommended that VSL#3 is not taken with carbonated or fizzy drinks.
