The quality and purity of colostrum can vary greatly; this is controlled in the method of collection and production. Symbiotics Colostrum is collected from pasture-fed, natural immunized, healthy, pesticide, hormone and anti-biotic free.

New Zealand dairy cows for up to 48 hours after giving birth. Colostrum is collected fresh from the cow, using conventional milk harvesting equipment and transferred immediately to a chilled storage silo where it is held at 7 degrees celcius. The chilled, not frozen, colostrum is then processed using a unique low-heat indirect fired spray dry processing technique to ensure the highest biological activity and water solubility is retained.
