Blackmores Omega Brain is a source of concentrated omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish oil. How it works Healthy brains contain high amounts of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA. DHA comprises 40-50% of brain tissue and 60% of eye tissue. DHA is the major polyunsaturated fatty acid in the adult brain, and it is essential for healthy neurodevelopment. DHA assists in the transmission of signals between brain cells. Maintaining optimal DHA levels helps to maintain mental and cognitive function. Studies have shown that low levels of DHA are linked to poor memory function. DHA is also central to brain and vision development in unborn children and infants. Dosage Adults - Take 1 capsule twice a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed. Children 6-12 years - Take 1 capsule a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed. Children 2-6 years - Only as professionally prescribed.
